I'm looking forward to those movies as well, especially The Martian!Lauren Stoolfirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07777860030600932061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6296151610997211986.post-80583026505276233792015-08-13T16:54:15.926-05:002015-08-13T16:54:15.926-05:00Ohh thanks for replying! He's a fantastic character. While he wasn't my fav with Celaena (let's face it my heart will always be with Rowan), I think he was all around the "best" guy. And I never really liked Chaol.

And yes I totally love how adorably messy he is. Because my room and my office are organized chaos (like so many people). I think it makes him more relate-able. Seriously thanks for your input. Post is scheduled to come out the Sunday before QoS releases :DAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11439310901664701862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6296151610997211986.post-31825777328789081882015-08-13T14:16:07.254-05:002015-08-13T14:16:07.254-05:00That's what I thought too, and it was! (as so...That's what I thought too, and it was! (as soon as I finish writing this comment I'll be checking out your own tag! :) )

As for why I adore Dorian? Well, tbh I could probably write several pages of my reasons with in-depth examples but I'll keep it pretty short :) At first I thought him and Celaena were a much better pair than her and Chaol because I though Dorian made her happier. But then, as they drew apart romantically, even though he was still pining for her for a bit he remained a really steady friend. After the events in the middle of CoM when she's rather lost he says he understands and is able to find the Celaena he cares about and they're able to regain their relationship. He knows he won't replace any of the holes her life is filled with, but rather becomes a rock for her.

Outside of his relationship with Celaena he's pretty much the perfect prince. He's smart, funny, and kind. He takes the time to listen to the plights of others. When Nehemia scolds him about what's going on with the slaves he takes this into account and brings up the problem at the council meeting even though he's rather afraid to do so. This shows his character growth- at the start of the series he's more afraid of his father than anything else and not willing to confront him directly, but at the end of Heir of Fire he practically explodes at him.

Speaking of, he's a rather tragic character and I always feel so bad for him. For the most part (so far) he's managed to pick himself up out of two heartbreaks. Whether the events of Heir of Fire break him permanently or not, I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Also, he loves reading, and the way he reads and how he loses himself in his books and just lets them sit around his room in random piles is something I can totally connect to on a spiritual reason.

Hahaha, yeah maybe this comment got away from me. I could go on, still, but I think I've probably tired you out :) I hope this helps with your post!

Thanks for stopping by!Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17065828205340837046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6296151610997211986.post-20273973803628327112015-08-12T17:51:19.304-05:002015-08-12T17:51:19.304-05:00This looked ridiculously fun so I had to do it!
