Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can click her to join up in the fun. This week is frequently used words in [insert genre] books. I think we can all agree that there's only so much originality in titles these days but it's often a bit of fun to point these things out. Without further ado:
"Queen(s)"
"Kingdom"
It doesn't have a cover yet, but Kingdom of Ash should also be mentioned here.
"Traitor"
A Bird
"Cursed"
"Bone"
"Daughter"
Star or Starlight or Having To Do With Stars
*all covers linked to Goodreads
I like "queens", and "bird" too actually. That's a good one! "Star" is another one.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah there are so many "bird" books in the YA world it's kinda crazy.
DeleteFantasy books are really getting the treatment this week, but I have to admit, there is definitely a group of choice fantasy words, which I never noticed before.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to pick apart the titles. What's also a bunch of fun is kinda realizing what book probably started off what trend.
DeleteOh traitor and wicked are good ones!
ReplyDeleteI never noticed that about wicked before now.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's a "new" popular word.
