Wrap Up (The One Where I Got A Job)

I officially have a job!  I mean, I have to fill out the paperwork on Tuesday at the regional headquarters, but then I will be officially employed!  It's just a little part-time job, but I couldn't be happier.  Not only does it mean more money for books (yes!) but it also means I can start saving up for my Junior year study abroad program.  It's not until 2018, but I'm already looking forward to studying half the year in London.  Anyway, things are really starting to look up :)

When I got called in to do an interview at first I was excited and out of my mind with joy... and then I was out of my mind with worry and anxiety.  It was pretty bad again.  Not as awful as it was a few weeks ago, but I definitely wasn't able to think clearly.  People in the bookish community have been super supportive, but I wanted to do a quick shout-out to a few who were at the right place at the right time and helped me out more than my words can describe.  Even if it's just a simple piece of advice, it helped me more than they might know.  Those people are:
Lauren Stoolfire (@SunSoar25)
CoolGreenPines (@CoolGreenPines)
and, one of the most wonderful people on the internet,
Becci (@rebecca2204)
You should go follow all of them right now!  If you don't have a twitter or tumblr, create one just to follow them!

Now, onto the bookish things!!!!

(Also, I'm sorry this post is so late I traveled yesterday to visit a town two hours away just to have lunch and look at some canons from the civil war and when I got back I was so tired and the days before were full of anxious energy.)

Finished this Week
Nothing huge, but I'm glad because I don't want to burn myself out.  I read volumes 12 and 13 or Noragami and it's really, really good.  They've been such a good resource for turning my smile into a frown lately and also making me feel all the feelz.  When I'm all caught up with the series I think I might review it, but we'll see since it's a hard series to review without every other sentence being "JUST READ IT".

Currently Reading
I'm still in the middle of And I Darken and really enjoying it, it's just dense (in a good way!).  I'm also about two thirds done with Clash of Kings, and I'm enjoying that as well.  When I finish And I Darken I will be picking up Assassin's Blade, and that should take me through the week.

I put a lot of hard work into these photo's and don't get a chance to show them off here, which is a shame, so I've decided to change that.  I hope you enjoy them!

How was your week?  What are you currently reading?  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. How exciting that you get to spend half the year in London! I'm spending a year in France as part of my degree - not til 2019 but I'm saving up now haha. It's going to be expensive. Congrats on getting the job :)

  2. Congrats on the job! I wish I got to spend a semester in London. They did that at my school, but it was super expensive to take part.

    1. Thank you! My school lets me use my financial aid in order to study abroad, otherwise I don't think I would be able to go but I absolutely can't wait.

    1. If my school wasn't letting me use my financial aid I don't think there would be a way for me to go at all it is crazy expensive. Studying in London is a dream of mine so I'm pretty excited. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Congrats on the job and your study abroad semester in London! I know will be amazing! I had the good fortune to go on a two week trip to London via the English, History, and Theater departments of my college just after graduation - and it was easily the best trip I've ever been on!

By the way, thanks for the shout out - I'm glad we could be there for you. :)

    1. Thank you! That sounds like an awesome trip! I've never been to London but it's always been a dream (even though I've never been I've wanted to live there for a long time and I hope someday I'll be lucky enough to do just that).

You're welcome- and thank you so much for helping me out. It means a lot.
