For me there's this weird cycle of blogging, reading, and buying books. The more I blog the more I want to read and the more I read the more books I buy. The more books I buy the more I want to read them. And the more I read them the more I blog about them. And then I tend to fall into a slump at some point. Which is what I seem to be pulling out of. I'm in the blogging mood and have loved being an active part of the community again and I've also carved out time each day to read so I'm slowly starting to get back into the books I was in the middle of. WHOO.
One big reason for this is Instagram. You may have noticed that my account was deactivated. There were several reasons for that (all to do with me and school really) which I'll be addressing in my first post on my new account. More info to come soon.

You can enter to win a book and this is international as long as Book Depository ships to your country. Here's the original link.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
You can also enter to win a candle from The Melting Library. Unfortunately this isn't an international giveaway. Here's the original link.

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean when it comes to that cycle...
You're welcome! I wish you the best of luck.
DeleteIt's such a strange and vicious cycle *sighs*
Ahhh yay! Sorry I totally forgot to wish you a happy bday on Twitter! I've totally been out of the blogging mood and it's so sad since i've had to hire two other cobloggers. Oh that's not the bad part. The bad part is not having that enthusiasm to blog anymore :( ANyways thank you sm for these giveaways. I've always wanted a candle from the melting library and gahh this is so amazing.
ReplyDeleteAlex @ The Book's Buzz
Oh no worries! That's the worst when you lose the enthusiasm to blog. I think that's where I was a month and a half ago and it's slowly come back, which is great. Best of luck! They have amazing candles so I'm sure you'll enjoy!
DeleteI completely know how you feel since I'm also in a slump. I just went back to blogging to do some obligated reviews but I still think I'm on a reading and blogging slump. Nice to know that you're motivated to blog again :)
ReplyDeleteczai @ the Blacksheep Project
Obligated reviews are sometimes the hardest part of blogging because then you feel like you're working and not doing a hobby. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI absolutely can relate to that cycle but in my case, it's not reading slump that's hindering me. I usually get torn between reading a book or watching an anime. I both love the two so it's really hard for me to decide what to do that's why I tended to end up reading a fanfic instead. Hahaha. XD
ReplyDeleteAlyssa @ Diary of a Book Maniac
I love anime but I never have any time to watch! *sigh* Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteI completely understand what you mean about the cycle. thanks so much for the chance! If I won It would be between The Dream Thieves and Six of Crows. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of those are so good!!! Best of luck!
