Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books To Read if You Like ________

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine.  Click here to join in on the fun.

This week's theme is pretty much If You Like _____ Then You'll Like _____.  This was a bit harder to do, but I had a lot of fun doing it.  These are in no particular order.

Book Review: Throne of Fire (Kane Chronicles, #2)

Author| Rick Riordan (Twitter/Facebook)  Edition| Paperback  Rating| 4 Stars

I really enjoy this series, though not more so than the Greek stuff he writes.  Kane Chronicles definitely feel pitched towards an older audience.  I didn't like this one as much as the first in the series, which was a welcome change.

College Journey #2: My First Few Weeks as a Freshman

I'm in college now, attending Knox College, a small liberal-arts school.  I want to major in Creative Writing and minor in film, and perhaps classics or linguistics (I'm loving my Latin class very much).  I know this is normally a book blog, but it's my blog so I can do what I please (evil laughter).  Every Monday or so (it may be less often) I plan to blog about how things are going.  This will provide not only an update on my personal life, but also tips and tricks for those entering college next year, and specific information for people who are looking at or planning to attend Knox.  I would have loved something so specific that could have helped me when I was making such a big change in my life.

Sunday Comics

Sunday Comics is something I do every other week to highlight the comics I've read recently.  Normally, there's a bit more to these posts than I've done this week, but I haven't been much in the mood lately.

Book Club Information and GIVEAWAY!

What, a bookclub?  Yes.  In fact you may have noticed the tab at the top of the page that says "Book Club".  I recommend clicking it because it will have the most up to date information most of the time.  The information in this post will be saying many of the same things, but I still recommend clicking on the tab if you're serious.

Weekly Wrap Up & Book Haul

So I've been feeling really down in the dumps lately.  I'm hoping I'm not getting sick again, but it sort of feels that way.  Oh well.  It's kind of affected my reading and blogging, but I have a lot of things planned, so there's plenty to be excited about.

Summer Wrap Up

I've done this twice before, now, one for Winter and one for Spring.  This is one of my favorite posts to write because it really allows me the chance to reflect on the books I've read in the last season.  So here I've spotlighted several that I really, truly love.  If I've written a review, I've also connected that.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  Click here to join in on the fun.

This week is one of my favorite themes to do because I love looking at all the books on my shelf and deciding what to venture into next.  For the one's I've included here, I don't know when I'll get to them exactly, just that I probably will during the fall.

5 Star Reread Review: Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)

Author| Sarah J Maas (Twitter/Facebook)  Edition| Hardcover (Original Cover)  Rating| 5 Stars

I love, love, love this series.  I reread it every year because I love it so much (so for those of you counting at home, yes, this is my fourth time reading this book).  And, every time I read it, I get more out of it.  It's rare to find a book that speaks to me on so many different levels and then continues to grow and change in how it speaks to me.

College Journey #1: Orientation

So, for those of you curious, I'm currently attending Knox College.  It's a rather small college, with about 1500 people (if I'm not mistaken).  I want to talk about how it's been, personally, here on this blog (since I do do that, occasionally- veer off from discussing books) and I also wanted this to serve as a guide for anyone who is looking at Knox as a possible college for them.  I want these posts to be aimed at everyone, not just those who read this as a book blog, and so these will be a bit different from the normal fare here.

Sunday TV

Sunday TV is something I do every other week to recap all the things I've watched.  With fall TV season nearly upon us, you'll notice that this post will get longer and longer every time it's back.  So, let's get started.

Completed Goodreads Challenge GIVEAWAY!

That's right, it's time to host my first giveaway.  I have a few planned for the rest of the year and I can't wait to start doing these because giveaways are so much fun!

Basically, the reason I'm hosting a giveaway is because I completed my Goodreads challenge.  My goal was to read 89 books, which at the beginning of the year I thought was a little lofty.  Well, there are still a few months left in the year and I've actually (as of today) read 93 books so far.

For this giveaway I can't ship internationally.  I'm sorry about that.  I'm fairly certain my next few giveaways will be international, though, so if you've missed out on this one, I promise you won't miss the others.

Weekly Wrap Up & Book Haul

It's been two weeks since I've done one of these, which means that the book haul is HUGE (and it is) but before I get to that, there are a few other things to get through.

The Books I Brought With Me to College

As many of you know, I'm at college now.  I'm attending Knox College, a small liberal arts school only a few hours away from home.  Even though I'm not super far, I did bring a ton of books with me (yeah, it probably did weigh about that much, too).  I was going to take pictures, but my desk is a mess and I didn't want to clean it up.
