Waiting on Wednesday: The Bone Witch

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine

When Tea accidentally resurrects her brother from the dead, she learns she is different from the other witches in her family. Her gift for necromancy means that she’s a bone witch, a title that makes her feared and ostracized by her community. But Tea finds solace and guidance with an older, wiser bone witch, who takes Tea and her brother to another land for training.
In her new home, Tea puts all her energy into becoming an asha — one who can wield elemental magic. But dark forces are approaching quickly, and in the face of danger, Tea will have to overcome her obstacles…and make a powerful choice.
Memoirs of a Geisha meets The Name of the Wind in this brilliant new fantasy series by Rin Chupeco!
Why I'm Waiting
It was a combination of the striking title and even more striking cover that caught my interest for this one, but after reading the synopsis I was sold. I have a soft spot for necromancers and, well, throwing around big names like Memoirs of a Geisha and Name of the Wind has me curious.

The Bone Witch releases March 7th, 2017

    1. Ah yes! It just sounds like a delicious book! (Why do I associate food and reading?)

  2. I'm sceptical. It's the kind of book that can be amazing or horrible ~

    1. LOL isn't that pretty much any book though, haha. I really hope it ends up being good, though, because the concept is just too good to pass up. But the last book I was optimistic for without really being sure was The Crown's Game and that didn't really turn out to be what I wanted...

    3. Ugh that book had such potential. I finished it... but barely. I do want to read the next one, though, because I am (against my better judgement) curious to see where the story goes, haha
