Book News: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Movie

Welcome to the newest feature of this blog!  I plan on doing Book News posts whenever something important and bookish happens for a series I care about.  They'll be posted sporadically, since I won't know when the information will be coming out.  You can always see old posts and information to catch up on under the Reviews & Book News tab.

By now you've probably seen these photo's floating around the internet.  That's right, the first set official photos have been released for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a new movie set in the Harry Potter universe.  The pictures were released by Entertainment Weekly early and you can see the original article here.  I've reposted the photos below because they're beautiful.

I am a rather large fan of Eddie Redmayne, so when I learned that he would be headlining the film I was as excited as ever.

And he certainly looks the part in all these early photos.  And, as always, he very adorable.

Whoever is doing the costume design gets a full round of applause from me for those absolutely gorgeous coats (I'm a sucker for long jackets).

And just looking at the sets brings back the magic that Harry Potter held for me.  They're exquisitely detailed and still have a "magical" feel about them.

My number one question is how the magic will differ.  I know that it's set in America, but will that change how magic is conducted?  Will the time period have an effect?  What I'm trying to get at is- has magic evolved over time?

I feel like it's a wonderful idea to revisit the world of Harry Potter in this way.  It doesn't take anything away from the originals, or really affect them at all- what it does do is enrich an already beautiful world.

So, yes, I'm very excited.  But aren't you, too?  I mean, we get to return to the world of Harry Potter!  It isn't over friends!
