Wrap Up (The One Where I Finally Finished Some Books)

These last couple days have been really strange.  Wednesday night and most of the day Thursday was just really bad.  Thursday evening was better, but still not great.  It wasn't until Friday when I was starting to feel more like myself again.  And yesterday was actually really fun once classes let out.  Some friends and I all went to Target (since I brought my car down to school and now we have some more freedom) and I, along with two of my friends, ended up buying Pokemon cards!  I haven't owned Pokemon cards since I was twelve and I can't remember how to play at all, but we're all intent on learning and it's going to be so much fun!  I'm rather looking forward to it.  We actually spent about half an hour trading cards we didn't want and it was a blast.

Later, after dinner, a bunch of my friends went to go see a speaker the college had brought in, but I had work I wanted to get done and my one friend just wasn't interested.  I didn't end up getting much work done, though, because ten minutes in the library and I remembered we had forgotten to go to the dollar store and comic store like we had planned earlier.  So we ended up walking over and I picked up some comics!  I haven't read comics in such a long time (you may have noticed the lack of comic reviews) but maybe now I'll get back into the habit. I got the first issue in Poe Dameron's new series (because Poe is my favorite character, in case you weren't aware) and the first issue in the Starbrand and Nightmask series.

Another friend of ours had an improv show at 2am (it was so early and I'm so tired) and we went to part of it.  It was pretty funny, but we were all so exhausted that we were just making fools of ourselves.  A rather good time.  And, today, I'm actually going home for the weekend to celebrate my brother's birthday.

Sorry to ramble on about myself, haha.  Here's the book related stuff:

Finished Last Week
I think I may finally be out of my book slump!  I finished reading both Age of Myth and The Bane Chronicles!  It was so great to finish something.  Finger's crossed my reading doesn't slow down again any time soon.

Currently Reading
I'm still listening to Rebel of the Sands on audiobook and loving it so much.  It far better than I had originally thought it would be.  I'm also going to try to finish White Night either this weekend or early next week.  After that I'll be continuing on with Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge.

Last Week
Wednesday-- Gemstone Tag

This Week
Monday-- Spring Cleaning: DNF Reviews Round 1
Wednesday-- Waiting on Wednesday
Saturday-- Wrap Up

Sorry it's going to be a bit of a quieter week, but because of my slump I just have less to talk about.  I will be writing a Bane Chronicles review, it just won't be up until next week because it normally takes me about two weeks to write a review.

Do you have any plans for the weekend?  Let me know in the comments!

  1. I had a fairly good weekend, seeing some friends and generally just hanging out. Glad you are starting to feel better and it sounds like you had a nice time with friends. Yay for some good books and comics!

    1. I rather enjoyed it! It's not my favorite in the series so far, but the ending, like always, was amazing :)
