Discussion: Literary Pairs

I'm so sorry guys!  I meant to get this up on its regular day- Thursday- but this week has been really busy.  I have two papers due and they're taking up most of my time.  But as I sit in the library and procrastinate, I thought I'd finally get this up.  This week's discussion is one I'm actually really excited to talk about because it's literary pairs!

So, by literary pairs I mean two characters/people book related that I think should pair up in some form.  Most of the time it'll hit me randomly that two characters would be good together, or two authors should write a book and it would be awesome.  Here are my top three.

Black Widow and Batgirl

I think these two would work really well together.  They're both kick-ass girls in both the physical and mental sense.  They're fighting styles are similar enough that I think they'd make a good partnership.  Sadly, I don't think this will ever happen.

Royce Melborn and Celaena Sardothien

These two are perfect for each other (not in the romantic sense) because they're practically the same person.  Really violent and dangerous when the people they care about are hurt, a dark past, lost within themselves until they find that one person... and no spoilers, but as their respective series' progress other features really start to pop out that make you remember the other.  I don't know if they'd actually get along, but if the two were to ever get in a fight, watch out!

And my number one choice for a literary pair is actually something I've dreamed about....

Maggie Stiefvater and Holly Black

Having read several books by both authors I think they have very similar writing styles- dark and dreamy.  Both have a haunting way with words and if they were to pair up on a novel or series I think it would blow everyone's mind.
