News!

Hello!  Perhaps you're wondering if your eyes are playing tricks on you?  Don't worry, I've actually changed the design of the blog quite a bit.  I like what I've gotten done so far, but there are few places I still want to alter things and a few places where I'm not as sure that I like how it looks.  So I want your opinion.  Please!  If you like it, if you don't like it, if you have any ideas, I'd love to know.

And then there's the other matter of business: my upcoming hiatus.  I won't be around for two weeks.  I'm going on a trip and, while I'll have my computer with me, I won't be using the internet very much and I'll be staying away from the blog on purpose.  I want to relax over this trip, and while I love blogging, the change of pace will be good for me.  I will be back, and when I return I'll talk more about the trip.

So, what will I be reading over these two weeks?  The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan.  Hopefully, I'll manage to get through all of them, and I'm super excited to start!  I've been meaning to read these for some time, and now that that time has finally come, I'm ecstatic.

I won't be watching much TV while I'm gone, but recently I have been finishing up on Forever and started watching a few different shows on Netflix.  It's nice to finally have settled into summer and being lazy in front of the TV all day.

I will be doing a lot of writing.  That's the main reason I'm bringing my computer with me.  I'm neck deep in a short story I hope to submit to an open anthology call, and half a chapter into a novel that's been itching at the back of my mind for some time.  I haven't had the writing bug so bad in such a long time and I want to capitalize on it while I can.

There won't be any posts while I'm gone, although I originally wanted to write some in advance.  Time just got away from me.  So, until then, I hope you guys have a wonderful time reading!
