I received a copy of Let's Eat Ramen from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I liked only about half of this book.  The title half, actually.  The other bits just weren't super entertaining for me.

Apparently, Doujinshi Manga is super underground and really trendy (in a hipster fashion?) here in America.  I guess this is the case, from what I understand of the marketing of this book.  I'm no manga genius, though I have broadened my scope in the past year or so.  In this volume we get a few issues about a shy girl who goes on dates with a guy just so she can eat ramen (I guess this is traditionally a man's food, but I'm not a hundred percent sure).  The other half of the volume is kinda bland, with stories that made fleeting sense and weren't really something I might pick up on my own.

The ramen story was really cute and I wish this was a volume dedicated to just that.
